Quality Assurance and UAT
- Planned builds/ releases will be shared with the client after internal QA approval
- Once Project completes all IAT (Internal Acceptance Testing) cycles it will reach the stage of UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- UAT is necessary in order to make sure release is well prepared for the launch on live server and app/ system has minimum issues with no road-blockers.
- UAT must not exceed more than 2 weeks (usually a duration of sprint). Since team is dedicatedly put on to work on resolving all business-critical to pre-launch issues or minor non-CR level feedback reported from client – so that release passes on to next-stage with team dedicatedly booked for Launching.
- All feedback of UAT needs to arrive in a V8 Digital Solutions issue-tracker sheet format (template of which will be shared by PM). It has columns like: Issue Title, Description, Date of Arrival, Severity, Impact, Priority, ETA for Fix, and Status. 3rd Last column will let us know about which issues to focus on first, and last two columns will be updated by Project Manager to communicate the status.
- App will have a Soft-Launch (Production Server) for around a week before a GO-LIVE announcement. During this period, the issues are fixed which are reported by the BETA/ early test users. All the “requirements for deployment” must be in a fulfilled state with the Client for Soft-Launch/ Mass-Launch/ Go-Live to happen, since launch team is booked for the deployment per Project’s overall plan and time-aligned trajectory of deliveries.
